Punta Chame

Yes! there is rock with good climbing potencial in Punta Chame (Bouldering and Sport). However the access is not easy, this one is only for the adventurers.

Description

This place I have had the pleasure of only visit twice due to the difficult access, but the place is a blast. Perfect for exploring, during the dry season it seems as if you are exploring in the desert due to the dry mangrove. As everywhere in Panama, for exploring new terrain I always recommend bringing a machete to beat the bushes and rubber boots to protect from the animals, as well as sun screen. The rock here is orange (adding more to the desert scenery), if has some choss, so you have to test the holds but overall very solid. I hold dear memories of my two days of adventure and I hope to return some day for more ascends.

Access

The place can just be access during the summer when the mangrove is dry and one can cross walking, around the mountain called 'Cerro del Tigre' you can spot multiple boulders and rocks as you get closer.
